on dis dae, wid juz a few daes before i officially end dis 2-yr chapter, juz want to express dis feelins dat defines ns...
no nd to argue...its definitely a relief to b free of 2 yrs of service (bk to business, i sae, and yet a lot of busi dat is!)...but strangely, i got ns to thk cos it did train me some...some assume ns to b some form of
pure military trainin to get ready for war when the country nds it (not of cos now)...but me thks dat if u lk frm another perspective, i thk 'boys become men' for a reason in service...
u noe, i nvr thk i pretty handle jobs realli well, especially when u r the one being called to do some of them...the complexity is not the kind i can tackle, considerin my thrist for speed in gettin the jobs done...but the longer i work as a sect comd in ns, the seemingly better i get at gettin them done...maybe cos i'm forced into the roles of the commander in these roles...and personally, if not for the reprimands frm my upper comd, i personally would not had dat much confidence as now in gettin things done....
multi-taskin is essential in ns too...ppl tend to c only one side of the army in the public face, and dats always the bmt itself (juz chk up the latest news: bmt extention...dat gonna hurt)...in a unit, dats not always the case...as a comd, u got to juggle workin wid yr section with the requirements of yr seniors and yr personal perferences....morals aside, u got to juggle outfield wk and in-camp taskings...u tend to find yrself in a tight spot, but wid some adapted quick thinkin, dat tends to save the day in the end...
or yeah, did i mention dat i am actaully now more resilient?...hardship had been somethin i had been accustomed to for a long time, but dat much hardship in the army felt like all the pains in my past 6 yrs condensed together...the times outfield was admittedly horrific (my body had nvr go used to the wilderness, and every time i returned, i lk like i did juz finished a war) but least i could juz finish wad i ahd to do widout squirming at the tiniest of ants in mud...ppl in the army can tend to b relatively crafty...with the rite set of startegies, u could juz win over them widout them knowing wad happened...
oh yeah, wad about dos admin skills i acquired in yr 1?...how memorable, but how useful as well...the previously strange-looking OpenOffice is notin to me now, outlook is not dat terrifying anymore...but phone calls become one of my newly-discovered phobias...it still give me chills when i hear my phone ring...the dreaded call of gettin u packin bk to camp...but forunately not anymore dis days....
oh well, notin much more i had to sae at dis beautiful mornin...till den, i will start c'in life fresh anew as i exit the gates of jurong camp on friday (ornot, since i still got some personnels to seek)...
