National Drifts
I really feel on a roll these days, having been blogging non-stop aweddy…Oh, weird title, isn't it?...Well, u see why i put it dat way later...
I had just returned from my continuation of ‘the walk on the other side’ by going with Irene and co. to Causeway Point to watch Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift…here’s a breakdown of the story…SPOILERS ALERT!
There’s this guy Sean (no hard feelings, Yun Cai!) who had trouble with his mum and left USA when she had enough of moving with him cos he’s a little prob child, mainly from drag racing. He moves to his pa’s home in Tokyo and, through a seller in school, met with the Tokyo dark society. When he lost a race to the Tokyo DK (Drift King, not Donkey Kong), DK’s accomplice decided to teach him to drift race. However, when this guy died in a car chase, Sean avenged his deceased friend by challenging DK to a race…which he won in the end (obviously...the hero always get all the gd stuffs in the end), becoming the new DK.
Quite okay lah, the movie…the effects are gd, in terms of the racing, but the story, as you can see, is not very gd…its like the same formula reused again and again…Hardcore movie-goers should know wad I mean…3/5, my score for the movie.
Well, to be frank, it’s a long time since I went to the movies; the last time I went there was to watch Harry Potter: The sorcerer’s stone…Shocking, eh? Part of my absence is due to my workload, seemingly never-ending, another is cos I had not much interest in the movies myself…I mean, why watch at the cinemas when u have channel 5 screening those movies for u? Yes, it will take years for that to happen but hey, it’s a money-saver!...its all but my view, people!
Yup, national day round the corner, so OZQ wish u all Happy National Day! And u know what I gonna do for the nxt few days? I gonna go have gd slacking! I really feel tired frm all those wks…I also buay tahan…must rest…MCE round the corner, must get ready for deep cramming also…
